1. Cut open the mantle of the empty and rinsed aluminium drink can using a pair of scissors and flatten the sheet.

2. Place the flattened sheet between the carefully folded design card.
It is important that the aluminium sheet should be aligned with all the lines on the design card. The printed side of the aluminium can should face towards the direction of the ”ABC” sign on the design card.

3. Make sure that the alignment is perfect.
The easiest way to do this is to fold the design card and hold it against the light. If all lines are correctly aligned, insert the aluminium sheets and check that they are fully covered by the design card.
4. Using the Alu-GO pliers join the aluminium sheet to the design card as if the latter was made of metal as well.

5. With a ball point pen transfer all the lines from both sides of the design card onto the aluminium sheet.
If possible do this over the soft work surface provided with the basic pack, over pieces of paper or a mouse pad.
Using a hard surface makes it harder to transfer the drawing. Use a ruler and a ball point pen for the transfer.

6. Separate the pre-drawn aluminium sheet from the design card.
To do this, simply rip off the design card along the seams off the sheet.
You should keep the design card until the model is complete, as it can help in fine-tuning further operations.

7. With a pair of scissors cut out the shape (the technical drawing) from the aluminium sheet following the ”scissors” symbol on the design.
You should complete the cuts as far as the „>---” sign on the design.

8. Fold the cut sheet along the lines.
As a result of the double-sided transfer drawing you will only need to reinforce the preliminary folds on the sheet.
Lay a ruler on the straight line and fold the sheet in the right direction.

9. Join the metal sheets according to the model’s description.
10. Using the ALU-GO pliers attach the metal sheets permanently.
